ABOUT US

Handmade Felted Fleece Rugs made from British Wool...

Here at The Felted Fleece Collective we think that sheep are better off in the field using their skins to grow next year’s rug. We make rugs that look like sheepskins. But in fact they are better than sheepskins because we use only the unwanted fleeces that the sheep no longer needs once summer has arrived. Not only is it sheep friendly but they’re also made using no nasty chemicals. They’re made from wool and soap and water so they’re environmentally friendly too.

Wool is a great natural product which sometimes is going to waste by farmers as it has very little value for them. In fact, I used to dispose of my fleeces from my flock years ago until I came across the idea of wet felting fleeces into rugs and so started my other business selling these type of rugs in 2014. In today's wasteful society it's so lovely to use this eco friendly natural material and make something lovely for your home. I make and sell these type of rugs for everyone because I believe wool is a far better material for making rugs than these fake plastic rugs you see for sale especially if the wool was going to go for waste. But if you are someone who really needs to know where the fleece came from because you have certain beliefs we are available to help you with your decision on which rug would be suitable for you. I have another company selling rugs from my home for life flock so please click here for more info.
Also here at the Felted Fleece Collective we like to support other fellow wool artists and have a small collection online of their work too.If you require any more help please check our
