At The Felted Fleece Collective, we believe sheep are far better off in the field, growing next year’s rug. Our pieces have the look and softness of sheepskin, yet they are created entirely from wool the sheep no longer needs once summer arrives.

Using only unwanted fleeces, soap and water, we transform a low-value natural fibre into something enduring and beautiful. No harsh chemicals. No synthetic fibres. Just honest craftsmanship and a material that would otherwise go to waste.

My own journey began in 2014, when I started wet felting fleeces from my flock rather than disposing of them. What felt like waste became purpose — and rugs that celebrate wool as nature intended. In a world of disposable plastics, wool offers warmth, texture and integrity.
